Through my personal story, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the assimilation process and its effects on Latine immigrants’ mental well-being.
The presentation specifically focuses on the internalization of colorism, racial microaggressions, and familism as a direct contributor of suicidal ideation among Latine immigrants.
